. It dicpicts my human form and my alternate dragon guardian form, which I uses whenever I need it the most. Resembling an Arch-Seraphim and armed with a myriad of ethereal weaponry, it remains as my personal favourite form to shift into by far.

The First meeting between the two Dragons.

To Selena459, the girl with a loyal dragon and an enthusiastic imagination.
My heartfelt thanks to her for drawing out pictures that dicpicts my various adventures in the fantasy world, as without her, those adventures may have never came to life. .

  May fourteen, in the year 2008. That particular day is as clear to me as an extreme high-resolution photograph. It was the day of my inevitable birthday (which I look forward to every year), it was the day my parents jumped with joy (I wonder if they did), and it was the day I finally came into existence into this world known as the Earth, (I was eternally grateful for that) which is a single planet spinning in a Stellar Galaxy known as the Solar System.
  In the many years I spent on this planet, I have seen many things ordinary people did not see. I have seen whole countries annihilated in the name of justice. I have seen computer systems that got hacked into in less than ten seconds flat. I have even seen, I know this may sound ridiculous, counterfeit homework networks (not drug networks) that operate over five separate continents. However, no matter how much things I knew, or how much happenings I have seen, life still holds lots of surprises for me, which I look forward to eagerly and keenly every time. After all, only time and time alone can foretell what happens in the future…

  On that day of my birthday, a lot of things happened. It was mostly routine life, having a birthday party with my friends in school and family at home, and receiving presents and well wishes from my friends and cousins. I enjoyed my birthday to the fullest and appreciated every present given to me, as they were made by my friends and family members. But one thing was different this time, on this particular, special birthday.
  I recalled that I was in my room, leaning on my Fire ridgeback Dragon Doragon on his dais, and enthusiastically unwrapping my presents like the times in the past when I am a curious young boy, with Doragon’s help every now and then. I was in the middle of unwrapping my presents when my personal laptop chimed a beeping tone in only which I know I have incoming mail. “Victor, it seems that you have a letter from that…whatever you call that thing again…a computer?” Doragon words came through my telepathic link to him, while he rested his head among his front claws, with a small present on his finger. “Thanks, and it is a laptop computer system for your information Doragon” I transferred this sentence telepathically over to him and picked up my personal laptop, flipping open the screen and read the following words:

Dear Victor, ...it reads…

In response to your message you sent me a few months ago, I think we can meet each other with our dragons for the first time in years. I have enclosed the place to meet, and I am sure you can find your way there. I hope to see you there!

P.S. I am not sure how Thor will react, so be careful about what he may do to your dragon. They are from different dragon species, and those two species (the Fire ridgeback Dragon and the German Black Land Fire Dragon) are enemies of each other, as the former dragon species nearly wiped out the latter. I will see what I can do to convince Thor though. But I can’t guarantee anything. A few words of advice: Be prepared for anything.

  I reread the letter a few times before closing my personal laptop’s screen shut and sat down at my study table, racking my brains about what she had told me in the past. After a while, I recalled a little piece of information she has given me quite some time ago. The Fire ridgeback Dragon and the German Black Land fire dragons hate each other a whole lot due to some reasons (of which I do not know), and not to mention the fact one is just as strong as the other. The reason why the Germans Black Land Dragons were so rare is because of two main reasons: They were either slain for their precious dragon hide or almost killed off by the Fire ridgebacks. The results were not pretty in both cases, especially especially the latter.
  After some cross-referencing that little nugget of information C.D. Muller has provided me with some dragonology books, it dawned to me that this meeting may be a little problematic. The two dragons of two separate dragon species that were at war with each other meeting for the first time? It can be either extremely good or extremely bad. I sincerely hope it is not the latter, as the repercussions were unspeakable.
  Doragon listened intently to my explainations while he rested on his dais, asking questions whenever he can to know more about the other dragon race. After absorbing all the information he wanted to know, he asked me telepathically while he cocked his huge head to one side “So, I am meeting another dragon by the name of Thor, who is a dragon from the German Black Land fire race, and has a rider by the name of Selena aka C.D. Muller later, is this correct?”  Upon hearing this, I leaned back on my swivel chair and rubbed my temple, before crossing my arms and saying, “Yes Doragon, You will be meeting Thor for the first time, and I will be meeting Selena for the first time too. It will also be your first time to encounter another dragon, I can understand you are excited, but don’t be too thrilled about this. Thor is a cautious dragon and he may judge you to be another of your species that killed his. You need to be careful,” Hearing my reply, Doragon folded his wings and stood up from his dais, while his face came to my level, eyed me with one large orange eye, and I heard his telepathic reply with the usual wink from his eyes when he acknowledged my words. “Then I will do just that. Making a new friend is better than making another enemy. Don’t worry, I will behave myself. But I wonder, will Thor accept me?” I palmed my face with one hand and patted his nose with my other hand. “I don’t know, Doragon. But we shall see…”

  If I could describe Doragon, I would have to go with the word “massive”. Why? You may ask me this question. Being the offspring of the Fire ridgeback Dragons, considering the largest of his species can grow up to 300 feet tall, it is no surprise Doragon was a huge dragon. I remembered when he first hatched from his egg; he was actually at least five to six times the size of an average dragon hatchling. Doragon currently has the height of approximately fifty-six feet, with a wingspan of eighty four feet. Hence the reason why I need to enlarge my house, when he first moved in. (My parents aren’t too happy about that) Doragon is fully covered in thick, hard golden tear drop shaped scales for most parts of his body, except for his brown coloured neck and stomach scales and silver coloured wing membranes. His golden scales shimmered like a mountain of pure gold whenever he steps into the sunlight. Doragon’s wings were huge, so huge that he could wrap his wings around himself when necessary and his wing membranes were all silver with a tinge of grey. His eyes have a shade of orange, and they seem to glow in the dark at night like small lights.
  In fact, there was nothing small about Doragon. Being a dragon guardian, he was the largest of the Fire Ridgeback breed. Even though he was younger, he outweighed most dragon hatchlings by a hundred pounds, and measured a few feet longer. There was no single fat on his body either; his entire length of body was totally covered in thick, hard, ropey, bulging muscle. That explains his huge amounts of strength that he can use at his own pleasure. I remembered when he first hatched; he was literally tearing the egg shell he was encased in apart and moving his muscles to work the kinks out. Even his claws and horns were large too, and they were so sharp, just like swords and even spears, which were capable of ripping through flesh, bone and even armour alike with relative ease. There were also small horns on back and the tips of his wings, which were equally sharp as well. I had one such experience with his horns, which nearly decapitated my head clean off my shoulders if I did not dodge it. There was also a blood red ruby on his head, similar to those of his breed, which glows whenever he is feeling saddened or irritated, or even when he is charged up with fire energy, as he can control the elements of wind and fire. Seriously speaking, he is one guardian dragon to be reckoned with.
  Doragon and I reached the location of the meeting place we have agreed to meet C.D. Muller and Thor ten minutes early, and it is at the edge of a huge forest, located in the heart of the United States. I like to be at least ten minutes early whenever I meet someone, because of mainly two reasons, one: it prevents me from being late (I am late sometimes, hence the punctuality problem) and two: it gives me time to prepare for whatever is coming my way. Sitting on the soft green grass, I clasped my hands and waited patiently for C.D. Muller to make her appearance. Doragon just admired and observed the nature around him, while resting with his huge wings folded behind him. Seconds passed slowly, making it seem like an eternity as I waited with bated breath to see my friend for the very first time.
  Slowly, I began to see a dragon with a girl on his back appearing under the yellow horizon, heading towards my location. As bright as the flaming sun, the other dragon pulled up and hung before me and Doragon like a huge mass of crimson scales, its enormous wings flapping continuously every few seconds and buffeting us with gusts of wind. The dragon’s scales illuminated the sun rays and drenched the ground and trees with dazzling chips of light. Upon its back sat a teenage girl, approximately five foot five, with dirty blonde hair that flows to her shoulders and hazel eyes (hazel in terms of blue with a mixture of green) that seem to correspond to the nature around us, and she is dressed in startling white robes against the brilliance of her dragon’s crimson scales. I raised up a hand to cover my eyes from the sand and dust as her dragon landed in front of me.
  A whirlwind of dry twigs and leaves got swept apart as the other dragon landed on the soft grass, it settled down slowly and folded its wings, with its face in a serious demeanor, meaning that it is indeed meant business. Crismon, tear-drop shaped scales that shine like jewels in the sunlight, sharp thick horns that were incredibly sharp on its back and neck, an amber coloured scaled stomach, and with the little specs of small purple ovals on the trailing edges of its massive wings, without another doubt, this is indeed Thor, the German Black Land Dragon and guardian of C.D. Muller.
  C.D. Muller carefully descended from her dragon Thor, and clasping her hands in front of her, she came forward and courteously greeted me and my dragon Doragon. I politely returned her greeting in kind while we shook hands. When we engaged in our own conversations, I could not help but glanced at our dragons’ direction. Doragon greeted Thor and bowed his head, but Thor just huffed and turned his head in return. However, what disturbs me is the behaviour of Thor, who seems tense and a faint growl nearly escaped from him, which is as though he is ready to confront an enemy. Thor is no pushover either, as he’s forty-eight feet in height and with a wingspan of about seventy-five feet, and that alone rivals Doragon’s size and height. He is also pretty muscular, as he is extremely well built, and his massive muscles rippled and bulged as he moved them. The sharpened horns on his neck and back, as well as his triple-spiked tail were my concern however, as those are the traits of a German Black Land Dragon that can be used for combat, and that alone can cause large amounts of damage to enemies. And if you add that to the wounds caused by the equally sharp claws, you can get a pretty huge amount of wounds if you engage with him in a fight. (Which I wanted to avoid at all costs) “Doragon, be careful and prepared for anything, and don’t provoke him.” I telepathically told Doragon, who grunted as a reply while he slowly kneaded the soil underneath his claws, with his eyes fixed on Thor, who was observing a few birds chattering on a branch. “I just hope things won’t get out of hand…I would not want to make another enemy.” Doragon told me after all few seconds later. “I hope so too, but it’s up to C.D. Muller to help me.” I answered back before returning to my conversation with her.

  Despite the fact that Doragon was ready to befriend Thor, the same cannot be said for the other dragon. The reason for this, as C.D. Muller has told me, is because Thor was too unsure of the new dragon. As the long minutes passed, I could not help but feel a little uncomfortable, as the atmosphere went from good to bad rather quickly., and to cap that I did not know what Thor will do next. But C.D. Muller tried to convince Thor to give Doragon a chance, and Doragon brace himself just in case Thor did try to attack him.
  “C.D. Muller, what’s going on?” I asked, while choosing my words with care. “I don’t know…Thor!”, She turned to her dragon and said some words while moving her hands, which Thor only grunted and huffed in return. She seems to have a hard time convincing him, and he is just as stubborn. I can hear random phrases like, “…his dragon is gentle…give him a chance…” and “…Why would he want to…” as C.D. Muller communicated frantically with Thor, while trying to calm him down. Unfortunately, that does not seem to calm him down one bit, as he is still as on edge as before. “Thor doesn’t trust him that well. I am sorry about this.” C.D. Muller replied as she continued her efforts to persuade Thor. Doragon and I waited patiently as we watch them converse between each other. “This is not good Doragon...it is what I dread.” I said to Doragon, who nodded his head in return as he acknowledged my thoughts.
  It was after a few minutes when I finally regained my voice to ask something. I racked my brains before finally asking, “Why doesn’t he trust Doragon? What has my dragon done to yours? I know the fact that he is the other species that nearly killed Thor’s, but he has no such intention to do that.”  C.D. Muller shook her head and said, “No, Doragon hasn’t done anything wrong. Your dragon was one of the species that almost killed off his kind, which is why he is upset. This conflict between the two species began over a hundred years ago. I’m sorry, but Thor is very cautious when meeting new people since the incident at the Eir’Berith Islands in Lake Peril almost a year ago.”
  The last few words clicked in my mind, which reminded me of her experience there, which she was nearly killed, and her companions barely made it out alive. It took her a few minutes to explain that to me, which I listened with rapt attention. I could not resist asking questions when there is something I need to clarify, and she answered them clearly except for a few which she did not want to answer. After hearing her recounting her experiences, I walked over to Doragon and pets his nose, while saying, “I’m sorry about that. Perhaps we can try again next time.” “I hope Thor will accept him the next time we meet, and I apologise for his behavior.” She told me as she stood by her own dragon, before bidding me and Doragon farewell. Only when Thor and C.D. Muller vanished below the yellow horizon did I begin to contemplate on what I need to do if we both ever meet again in the future.  “Time to go…” Doragon nudged me with his nose, and I climbed onto him and departed for my home.

  When I reached home, I immediately busied myself with the task of gathering information on the two dragon species while Doragon flew out to hunt for some food. After several minutes and extensive reading later, I wrote the following on my notepad, with my thoughts beside each line:

1. Fire ridgeback Dragons is almost as powerful as the German Black Land Dragon (in what way?)

2. German Black Land Dragons are killed for their precious skin. (what makes it so precious?)

3. They were also at war with the Fire ridgeback Dragons (what triggered the war and what happened?)

  These are the three questions whose answers I desperately seek. After I read through the dragonology books and cannot glean any useful information from, I picked up my digi-pen and wrote an additional line under the three sentences: “need further input of extensive information, research on relevant subjects and retrieval of important specimens advised.” I twirled the digi-pen between my fingers and my forehead wrinkled with concentration as I thought about my options on obtaining those answers. Eventually, an answer hit me like a ton of bricks.
  Picking up the phone, I began to dial a number. If anyone wants answers, that person has the answers. He is currently the Master Archivist and the head supervisor of the Special Research Projects Administration (SRPA) Section of the Republic National Archives. He is commonly known as the Alpha Librarian and has an extensive collection of books on Dragonology, of which one may hold the answers I seek.

  His name is no other than Professor Lincoln.

Here are the pieces of artwork, photographs and writings that I have posted on Deviantart since the day I joined this community.

Section One:
Artwork-wise, I can say that most of them are either collobrations or requests done by my friends on DA and at schools and conventions, based on the description and concepts I have created for them. Due to the fact that I am still a novice artist myself, I am unable to draw anything decent for some time. Currently, I am learning to draw better, so if there are any of my own work, it would be either sketches or rough works. Inked pieces or clean pieces may take more time, as drawing is not really my cup of tea. (or slice of cake, or...whatever)

Section Two:
Writing-wise, I am a avid reader of all genres of books and novels, as well as magazines and newspapers. I rarely write stuff on my life, unless it involves important moments in my life and various other matters I am not at liberty to disclose. I enjoy any kind of book, as long as they interest me and provides twists and turns at any moment. My personal favourites include Science Fiction, Fantasy, Thriller, Mystery, Supernatural and perhaps a bit of Romance at times. (I can't believe I typed Romance)

Sometimes I write entire stories, while other times I write some Unrelated drabbles, by which I mean shorts. Connected, unconnected, whatever I feel at that moment, whenever I write it down at will. Some of these would mostly focus on the characters OCs I created in my mind and traces their lives through my imagination. Others will include scenes of my persona interacting with others and my life, among others.

Please note that I have a habit of making my characters too Mary Sue, which I need to kick, so don't be surprised if I created something too overpowered. It would be scaled down and rewritten in time after I have finished up on my life and schoolwork. I promise to catch up on my typing and works whenever time is available to me.

Until then, please understand my problems and assist me whenever needed. A reminder to my watchers and friends (even my visitors), innovative comments as well as constructive criticisms are welcome. Compliments are appreciated, but fawning is undesired. Thank you for your cooperation.

Section Three:
Photography-wise, I am a wanna-be photographer, which means I take pictures either on impulse and at the moment, or seemingly at random. I also take pictures of cosplayers at Cosfests and Cosplay (anime) conventions, as well as gaming fairs and conventions whenever I have a chance to attend them with my friends and family members. About random photographs, I will post them up whatever and whenever I want, so don't be surprised. Other than that, it is mostly routine photography stuff.

About anime photos, you can request for any anime character or convention photo and I will check my collection to see whether I have any relevant photos before posting them up. Oh, and please give this notice to me in a note. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

MECHA MUSUME ASUNA DESKTOP

ASUNA has been my favourite female character in Sword Art Online, and I simply loved this image of her in Infinite Stratos-esque armor design and weapons, and nice touches with the wedding veil and flowers. I definitely love the mech design that makes her look like an angel goddess.

Description of Persona Self

Who am I? You may surely ask me. My original name has been lost in the spaces of time, and my age is still currently unknown, and so I lived by several aliases. The shape-shifting Writer, the Supreme Commander, the Stormbringer, the Mega-dragon are to name only a few. Few people know of my existence, and even fewer know about my personality or the number of alternate forms I possess. Firstly, I am not even entirely human, but a mixture of several kinds of creatures from the far ends of the Universes I have been to. I have several forms, which I can morph into any of them at will to suit my needs or infiltrate other worlds and parallel Universes. (My contacts called me the shape-shifting Writer)

A mysterious and powerful boy who is closely and loyally guarded by a Fire Ridgeback dragon, and imbueded with a dragon spirit that allows him to become andy dragon form or animal form he wishes and lastly having his vast army of Republic FSOF (First Special Operations Forces) SPEC-OPS forces and powers at his disposal, that is who and what I am.

The announcement that I have to make once every single year is here: MY BIRTHDAY IS HERE!! Yes, I am one year older and I spent the whole of today with my parents and at a bookstore, browsing through a series of my favourite books. I have received a couple of presents from my family and friends, and I treasured each and every one of them immensely. And I hope I can get myself a little something for my birthday this year...after I have saved up enough cash for it though. LIFE UPDATES: Still serving my country at the moment in National Service, although I would be starting my university studies in a few months time. Meanwhile, I would be catching up on household chores as well as my personal writings and various other stuff I would like to do before I go into university. I have managed to watch a few of my favourite movies, read a few more of my favourite books, and finish up on the gundam models I have built from the sets I have bought several months ago. Not only that, I am also keeping an eye out for some of the new animes, such as Infinite Stratos Season 2 (I am a stickler for weaponry and girls in power armor) and the upcoming Codex for the Eldar in Warhammer 40K. Procrastination, much as I hate to admit, has been slowly posioning my essence, and it takes great effort to squash it to nothing and continue my work as usual. This multiple-franchises fan needs to catch up on several of his fanfictions, as well as on the various starcraft short stories, and even on the latest Warhammer 40K Horus Heresy Novel Betrayer. Other than that, I am healthy and alive, although I need some tea and chocolate ice cream badly. (at least Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm has blostered my spirits somehow...) I would be sure to attend any upcoming Anime/Cosplay/Games events, and at the same time, finish up on the writings I am supposed to be doing. There will be a massive gallery overhaul soon, so I would be deleting any unwanted deviations and updating some of my works. Be sure to keep an eye out for them!!

Fellow Deviants, I normally browse and read some fanfiction at times, but after reading a few really good ones, I have grown to respect some of the writers who have been able to write superbly as well as breathe life and additional bacstory or even new plotlines for the various characters in any fandom. Such a feat is worthy of note, and I applaud them for their impressive writing skills and still remaining faithful to the lore of the Franchise and its characters. From the war torn worlds of Mass Effect and Tiberium wars, to the time travelling abilities of Muv Luv and Evangelion, or even the short stories of Starcraft and MLP FiM, each has its own story to tell, and sometimes may incite a gasp of "Awesome!" or laughter at a black humor joke. After siftng through some of my reading fanfictions that I have found on both Tvtropes.org and on various fan websites, I have some Fanfiction Recommendations for those who share the same Franchises as me. So, without further ado, here are some selections from the most well-written Fanfictions of various Fandoms I have read so far, please do take a read and tell me what you think, comments and discussions appreciated!!

• Muv Luv: One Last Time into the Loop [link]

Status: Ongoing (70+ chapters)
Comments: The world of Muv Luv may have been based off a dating sim, but this story of love among a war against an alien species has captured the hearts of military hardware fans as well as those who would like a good love story. MLOLTITL is actually a take on Takeru, the main hero, who goes back in time to set everything right, or as right as possible. It has many awesome fight scenes with regards to mecha and large scale battles, and the character moments are well developed too. Recommended to be read if you are a Muv Luv fan, and if you are not, please have the Muv Luv Wiki on standby to understand the technology and large cast of characters inside. I can't wait for more chapters, the tension and suspense is killing me!

• C&C Tiberium Wars: [link]

Comments: One of the best military writings I have read so far in regards to the C&C series, the writer known as Peptuck has done justice to both the GDI and NOD armies in this fanfic novelisation of Tiberium wars. To wit, Kane acts like kane, there are beautiful scenes of explosions and enough military hardware and fighting scenes to make a C&C fan like me squee with joy. In addition, this fanfiction stayed true to the lore of the series and I simply adore how much expansion he has made to the story by adding additional scenes and including weaponry and vehicles from Kane's Wrath. The details are awesome, the fight scenes are worthy of note, and I simply adore the moment the Mammoth tanks come into play. "Yea verily, though I charge through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I am driving a house-sized mass of "fuck you." HOLY SHIT INDEED.

• Mass Effect Renegade: [link]

Comments: A crossover between two of my favourite franchises (C&C and Mass Effect), Renegade takes the best of both worlds and make it into a gem of unparalleled awesomeness. The usage of both Mass Effect world and C&C technology somehow blends nicely, and the invasion scene was one worthy of utter awesomeness. From small scale gun battles to large scale fleet to fleet combat, this Fanfiction has it all, and more. Kudos to Peptuck again for bring such a wonderful fanfiction into my radar, definitely worth a read and I am hungry for more!

• Starcraft: Behind the Painted Walls: [link]

Comments: This fanfiction may contain spoilers for Starcraft 2, but it focuses on Valerian Mengsk's childhood and the later role he has to play in the upcoming war against the queen of blades, and then against the Dominion and eventually a far greater enemy. Although the plotline has been jossed due to the release of Heart of the Swarm, it is nonetheless a good read due to the expansion on Valerian's character and motivation. There are a few scenes of heartwarming, and certainly a few more scenes of awesome. There is also nice insight into Raynor and Kerrigan's relationship in this story, and I certainly hope to read more about them. Hope it has a happy ending.

Comments: A very alternate take on the SAO universe, and I love how the writer wrote about the individual abilities of the various fairy races. The scenes involving Klein, Kirito and Asuna is also believable and well done too. The supporting characters also have several scenes to shine, and I simply love the fight scenes and the scenes of magic usage, sounds like they came out of a fantasy novel. Character relationships are well handled and I also love the introduction scenes for our major characters who we know and love. I am pleased with the amount of research done on MMORPGs and the writing is top-notch. Highly recommended for a SAO fan who desires a good read.

Comments: A personality change of Kirito and it seems to be as faithful to the original story as possible, with a few changes along the way. Excellent fight scenes as well as character development. Hope to see updates soon enough.

Comments: A alternate "what if?" story that follows the Fairy Dance Arc of the SAO series. Written from Asuna's point of view, and delves into her feelings, thoughs and dreams. I especially love the characterisation of Lizbeth, Silica, Egil and Suguha in this version, as they are very well in touch with their anime and light novel personalities. The dream sequences are also very well done, and there are some teary moments that made my eye water for this couple I ship in SAO. I sincerely hope it gets a nice ending.

• Evangelion: Once More with Feeling: [link]

Comments: Another time travelling fanfiction, which focuses on Shinji making changes to the original timeline with his memories of the future. Aside from some grammer errors and paragraphing, the story is a good read in which the characters are true to their forms as well as having some rather hilarious descriptions for jokes, and a few nice fight scenes with regards to the Angels. can't wait for more!

Comments: A futuristic take on How To Train Your Dragon, it was nicely written and I like the way the characters are crafted to fit a story set in the future. As a science fiction fan, I am awed by the mentions of high tech weaponry as well as the weaponry used by the Military Police to kill the Dragonoids. The mention of mecha and their sheer powerful weaponry also appealed to me too. And also, it does give me curiosity as to what is the race that pilots the Dragonoids and why are they attacking the humans?

I enjoyed each and every one of them immensely, and I hope to see more soon!

No matter whether it is half body, full body, or even bust design, the character personality and concept shines brightly and beautifully, and the details are prominently displayed. The sleek lines and wonderful shading is also what defines these characters, in addition to the gorgeous backgrounds that were framing these characters. Is this deviant creates a comic series or an artbook, I am sure I would be purchasing it and a few commissions of my Own Characters as well.

Movie Review: Iron Man 3

Comments: Highly enjoyable. Love the plot twist and the battle scenes involving the Iron men Army.

Storyline: When an enemy from the past targets that which industrialist Tony Stark holds most dear, he must rely on his ingenuity to protect those closest to him and finally answer a question which has haunted him from the beginning: Is he the one who defines the Iron Man suit? Or is it the suit that defines him? Stars Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin, Guy Pearce as Dr. Aldrich Killian, Rebecca Hall as Dr. Maya Hansen, and James Badge Dale as Eric Savin.

My thoughts: The final installment to the Iron Man Trilogy (for now), Iron Man 3 brings a new enemy for our fabled hero Tony Stark and his love interest Pepper Potts, in the form of the enemy known as the Mandarin, as well as another potential enemy known as Dr. Aldrich Killian and maybe Dr. Maya Hansen. Love the cameos of Dr Yinsen and Dr Banner, as well as Stan Lee. But the one that takes cake of the movie is the scene when Tony Stark summons his army of Iron Men to fight the Extremis induced villians of the show. The Mandarin's reveal was something I wasn't expecting, and I love the various witty dialogue and the fight scenes involving the new Mark 42 Iron Man suit. The usage of technology in the film looks and sounds awesome, and I love the fact that Tony Stark and Pepper Potts got together by the end of the film. As far as I am concerned, I want Robert Downey Jr. to act as Tony Stark again in future installments of Iron Man!!

My Personal Top Five Moments of Iron Man 3: (no order, and adapted from Tvtropes.org, credits to them) [[SPOILERS ALERT!!]]

• Tony's initial assault on the Mandarin's compound. He's lost virtually all his resources at this point, and can't power his suit back up in time. So he puts together an assortment of Improvised Weapons and plows through a dozen armed guards almost effortlessly.

• Of course, also how Tony saved all of the surviving passengers and crew of Air Force One who were thrown out from the flying plane! JARVIS said the suit can only carry four people. There are thirteen falling. Tony guides each of the falling people into a skydiving maneuver, which appears as though it could slow their descent, and uses an electrical current to lock their grip so they can't let go of each other. They reach the last survivor just in time for Tony to turn up the thrusters and land everyone in the water. Then it immediately becomes a Crowning Moment of Funny when he turns to fly away and gets hit by a truck, breaking apart the pieces of the hollow armor.

• Harley with his flashbang, and Tony with his hidden single-shot repulsor cannon effectively knock Savin out cold.

• Pepper finally getting her chance to show us her awesomeness in full display by saving Tony from Killian in the climax: Without missing a beat, she backflips off of Tony's knee, cleaves through an Iron Man suit, assembles one of the gauntlets on her arm, removes a tankbuster missile, and blasts it, killing Killian.

• Iron Men make up the cavalryof reinforcements. Also of note, Tony yet again jumps off a tall structure and into his suit. Several times.

P.S. can't wait for Star Trek: into Darkness and Pacific Rim!!

BOOK REVIEW: Space Marine Battle Novel: Legion of the Damned

Comments: A truly epic read. Love the Legion of the Damned and how they appeared in the story. Very interesting character developments and epic fight moments in the large scale battles mentioned in the story.

Storyline: Following the trajectory of a blood-red comet, the berserk World Eaters blaze a path of destruction across the galaxy in its wake. The small cemetary world of Certus Minor appeals to the Space Marines of the Excoriators Chapter for protection, but the force dispatched to deal with this grim threat is far too small and their losses against the renegades are high. Just as all seems lost, salvation is borne out of legend itself as sinister spectral warriors descend upon this planet of the dead, and the enemies of the Imperium come face to face with those who have already travelled beyond the realm of the living...

My thoughts: Possibly my favourite Space Marine Battle Novel to date, Legion of the Damned focuses on the Space Marines of the Excoriators Chapter defending a cemetery world against the hordes of Chaos Space Marines and Daemons of Chaos. This story focuses on Zachariah Kersh, a captain of the space marine chapter in his defense against the forces of chaos while saving civilians of the Imperium. The first part of the story focuses on the battle known as the Feast of Blades, which was awesome in its own right. I also love the character development of Zachariah Kersh and how the story progresses till the eventual massive battle on Certus Minor. The story is packed with fast paced action, and I love the whole battle, which was impressively written and the scenes of valor and heroism are worthy of note. And of course, the Legion of the Damned is a terrible beauty to behold, and they are truly warriors that cannot die, and will not die, and they are loyal to the emperor even in death. Pure awesomeness does not even cover what they can do.

Awesome scenes in Legion of the Damned: (adapted from Tvtropes, so SPOILERS GALORE, you have been warned.)

• The best scene is by far summarised byone word. Punisher. The little Thunderfire cannon that could. When Khornate Daemons overrun the eastern flank of the city the Excoriators are defending Punisher was the only survivor and continued to hold them off, alone. It held off Khornate Daemons, Cultist Hordes and berserk Chaos Space Marines by itself. And it that wasn't enough when Zachariah Kersh, the protagonist, sends out a signal to fall back Punisher goes on a search-and-destroy mission through the city. Then it blows down a wall, saving the main characters from being overwhelmed by World Eaters and allowing them to escape, before opening fire into the traitors and killing many of them, including 10,000 year old World Eaters veterans who fought at Terra! They finally kill it by flanking it. Punisher died, but it absolutely owned some of the galaxy's fiercest killers before it died.

• Then the Legion itself. The Legion of the Damned arrive and absolutely destroy the traitors. The best example is the fate of Umbragg of the Brazen Flesh. By his own admission Umbragg has fought in every single major battle involving the World Eaters. He fought at Istvaan, Terra, Armaggeddon and many other battles. And one lone Damned Legionary comes up behind him and slits his throat, leaving him to bleed out in an alley. One of the galaxy's deadliest warriors died like a common thug in "a street so small and insignificant to the galaxy around it that it didn't even name a name.". The Legion don't stop there. They fill the entire city and slaughter the Cholercaust. Some scenes described in the book are a World Eater Lord and his cultists being herded into an open space, only to be fried by the Legion's flamers; A traitor named Slorak the Undying empting an entire clip of ammo from his bolt pistol into the face of a Legionary, only to have his head cut in two; A traitor Techmarine being lured into a park and blown up by pre-placed grenades; Foresworn marines being lured into the catacombs beneath the city and actually being stalked and hunted one-by-one by the Damned Legionaries.

SERIOUSLY, DO I HAVE TO MENTION HOW BADASS AND AWESOME THE LEGION OF THE DAMNED IS?!

• Then there's Scout Omar. During a mission outside the city Omar is ambushed and literally buried alive in a cultist horde after they force him into an open grave. He survives and makes it back to the city as the Cholercaust is siegeing it. Corpus-Captain Kersch rescues him, but Omar loses the lower half of his body to a gelatinous Daemon. That doesn't stop him from being a sniper spotter in the battle, and when his shooter is killed he takes the rifle and continues fighting. He is the last Excoriator to die, the bell tower he is firing on is swarmed by Furies. Even his death is awesome as Omar detonates the grenades he is wearing and takes the tower, and the Fury swarm, with him and the falling tower crushes a hell of a lot of cultists.

• And in space... One lone ship is all that defends Certus Minor. They do better than anyone could have expected, taking down many ships with their sole lance cannon. But as they are being boarded a new ship appears. One that is actually visible in from the planet's surface, showing the massive size of the vessel. It then launches a single torpedo and destroys the Keeler Comet that the Cholercaust has been following, the comet was corrupted after passing through the Blood God's realm and had been travelling the galaxy for ten thousand years. And the Raptorous Rex destroyed it with a single torpedo. And then it goes on to annihilate the entire Chaos fleet which consists of hundreds of vessels.

• Let's not forget the main character,Corpus-Captain Kersh, The Scourge, and future Chapter Master of the Excoriators. He starts the book in stasis, suffering from debilitating nightmares and undergoes invasive brain surgery to stop him from being a drooling vegetable. Now, most of his brothers wouldn't be too bummed about leaving him to rot, so this procedure was only done because he was the only guy in the Chapter who might stand a chance at winning the Feast of Blades, a single combat tournament with no holds barred, and where the occasional death isn't uncommon. That's right, the guy goes from being comatose, straight into a series of brawls, with only a brief procedure bordering on lobotomy to prepare him for it. Obviously, he wins the tournament, reinforcing his reputation for being a ruthless bastard along the way, to the point where the final match is no longer a one-on one fight, but a three way showdown, because none of the other Chapters want to shame themselves by giving him a fair fight. Oh, and he loses an eye in the early matches of the tournament. He's then offered the chance to replace it with bionic enhancements, but turns it down, because he feels the adjustment time might cost him a fight. So he just fills his empty eye socket with a ball bearing.

As I mentioned above, A TRULY EPIC READ I HAVE IN AGES!!
